THE DREGER CLOCK
MY MEMORIES OF THE CLOCK
By: Christina Lawson
If you grew up in Southern California like I did, a
trip to Knott's Berry Farm was just as much a
part of growing up as a trip to Disneyland. I don't
recall too much about those trips, but one of my
memories is being a little girl and staring at this
wonderful clock!
I love clocks, but you didn't have to be into
clocks to enjoy this one. I remember being so
impressed with it's size, and overall beauty. But
what I think I loved most about it were all the
different times it displayed. Long before the times of watches that
could do this with a touch of a button, to be able to see this
information on an old clock, I thought was totally cool!
You can imagine how I felt when I learned that the clock came into
disrepair, and needed a new home. The thought of future
generations of Southern Californian's not enjoying this great clock
inspired me to become involved with it's restoration. Please join me
in saving this great piece of So. California history by learning more
about the clock, and how you can help. Below are some pictures,
and links that I think you'll find quite interesting.
